  • Publicas a diario o casi a diario.

If you sell on Vinted regularly or buy to resell, Vinted considers you a professional and you must sell through Vinted Pro. It's the official route for shops, self-employed sellers and businesses, and it's available in Spain. Selling as a private individual when you're really a business can lead to penalties or to your account being closed.

Private or professional seller on Vinted?

You're a private seller if you sell your own things you no longer use, now and then. You're a professional if you buy to resell, sell regularly or in an organised way, or do it to earn a living, even if what you sell is second-hand clothing.

Signs that you're already a professional

  • You buy bundles, outlet clothing or other people's garments to sell them.
  • You list items every day or almost every day.
  • You hold stock, even if it's at home.
  • You also sell on other platforms as a business.

What Vinted Pro is

It's the way to sell on Vinted as a professional. Your profile and listings carry the Pro label, and buyers know they're buying from a business. According to Vinted's official guide, it's available in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

What you need to sign up

  1. Your registration details as a self-employed person or company.
  2. Your NIF (tax ID) and, if you have one, your VAT number.
  3. An address and contact details that match your registration.
  4. Your terms of sale as a professional seller.

What changes for the buyer

When buying from a professional, the buyer has European Union consumer rights: among other things, they can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days and they have a guarantee. It may seem like a burden, but it builds trust, and trust sells.

How many accounts can you have on Vinted?

Vinted's terms allow one account per person. If your business has several brands or several people selling, check with Vinted how to organise it before opening accounts: losing an account for breaking the rules can cost you years of reviews.

Rules change. Before you decide, check the guide for Pro sellers on Vinted's website.

Vinted Pro and the Spanish tax agency

Being a professional comes with tax obligations: personal income tax (IRPF) or corporation tax, plus VAT. On top of that, Vinted reports sellers who exceed certain thresholds to the Spanish tax agency (Hacienda): we explain it in DAC7: when Vinted reports to the tax agency.

  • Carrying on selling as a private individual when you already buy to resell.
  • Not keeping the purchase invoices for your stock.
